Dr. Monica Trif – holds a M.Sc. in Applied Biotechnology and PhD in Biotechnology, currently project manager and researcher at Centiv GmbH, Germany in the area of bioprocesses. She has more than 15 years’ expertise in developing and management of R&D projects at national and international levels, related to the applied research in bioprocesses and ingredients using renewable resources, polymers biotechnology to advance both scientific and industrial development. Dr. Trif acquired extensive and valuable knowledge during the staff secondments at IFR, UK; INRA-BIA Unit (Biopolymères Interactions Assemblages) and INRA-CSGA, France; TU Berlin (Department of Enzyme Technologies), Germany; KU Leuven, Belgium. As a recognisition of efforts Dr. Trif has been awarded as mentor of Publons Academy – an online Master Peer Review training course, Expert Evaluator at European Commission – Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) and Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing (NMP).

Dr. Alexandru Rusu – the Leader of EU Strategic Research in Biozoon GmbH, Germany. Following receipt of his M.Sc. and a Ph.D, have extensive background in different areas of biotechnology research. Furthermore, from the combined experience in academia and industry he also gained a strong professional know –how in managing international collaborative RTD projects. Dr. Rusu research interests encompass the multicolored biotechnology including food biotechnology, and polymers biotechnology focusing on the production of biotechnological bacterial polymers, which are considered the most promising bioplastics. His expertise have been highly appreciated at EU level participating in various prestigious events as invited speaker (FEDIMA, EurSafe, FI Korea) and being appointed since 2017 as Expert for the European Commission for the area Future and Emergying Technology (FET) within bioeconomy.
